In the heart of Kavala, the family tradition of meat has been alive since 1925. Nikos Kehagias is the 4th generation who proudly continues the work of his great-grandfather Paschalis, his grandfather Nikos, and his father Vassilis. He has created a butcher shop that combines tradition with modern expertise in the art of meat aging and dry aging.
At Kehagias Butcher Shop, you’ll find prime cuts from Japan, Argentina, and other countries, as well as rare varieties to meet even the most demanding gastronomic needs. The meat soaking process ensures unique tenderness and flavor, while visitors can enjoy a unique tasting experience and atmosphere.
Every July, the renowned “Barbecue Festival” is held, combining the unique art of barbecue with the fine wines from the wineries of Kavala. This event has become a tradition, gathering food and wine enthusiasts from all corners of the city and beyond!
